P0101
Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Range/Performance
Detailed Description
The ECM has detected a significant deviation between the MAF sensor reading and the expected air flow calculated from throttle position, engine speed, and other parameters.
Possible Causes
MAF sensor hot wire/hot film dirty
Air filter clogged or improperly installed
Air intake system leak
MAF sensor degraded with age
EGR valve leakage.
Solutions & Repair Guide
Check and replace the air filter; Clean the MAF sensor with a dedicated MAF cleaner; Inspect the entire intake piping from the air filter to the throttle body for sealing; Verify the MAF sensor is correctly installed; Replace the sensor if cleaning is ineffective.
